
Today, Mark Zuckerberg took to Facebook to outline Meta’s ambitious vision for artificial intelligence in 2025. In his post, he predicted that Meta AI will become the leading AI assistant, serving over a billion users, while Llama 4 will set new standards in AI model development.
Zuckerberg also revealed that Meta is constructing a massive 2-gigawatt data center to power its AI advancements. To illustrate its scale, he shared a comparison showing that the facility’s footprint would cover a significant portion of Manhattan. Meta plans to bring 1 gigawatt of computing power online in 2025 and end the year with over 1.3 million GPUs, highlighting its aggressive expansion in AI infrastructure.
The company is set to invest between $60 billion and $65 billion in capital expenditures this year while significantly growing its AI teams. Zuckerberg emphasized that this level of investment will drive Meta’s core products and business, unlocking historic innovations and strengthening America’s leadership in AI technology.
