In the latest Facebook post from Kosovo Police, they reported on a recent operation that took place on March 4, 2025, near the border between Serbia and the Republic of Kosovo, specifically in the village area of Nishevc, Prishtina. During their routine border duties, the border police successfully prevented an instance of smuggling, specifically involving the illegal transportation of timber.

The police were able to identify and detain two suspects believed to have transported timber from Serbian territory into the Republic of Kosovo. The prosecutor has been informed about the incident, and in coordination with them, a case has been initiated under the suspicion of committing two criminal offenses: ‘unauthorized crossing of border crossings or border lines’ and ‘smuggling of goods’. The Kosovo Customs has also been notified about the case, which will continue to be processed.

Policia kufitare gjatë realizimit të detyrave që lidhen me punën e tyre në brezin kufitar mes Serbisë dhe Republikës së Kosovës, në rajonin e fshatit Nishevc të Prishtinës, ka parandaluar një rast të kontrabandës me mallra, gjegjësisht të druve.

Policia ka arritur t’i identifikojë dhe t’i ndalojë dy të dyshuar që dyshohet që kanë bërë bartje të lëndës drunore nga territori i Serbisë për në territorin e Republikës së Kosovës. Për rastin është njoftuar prokurori dhe në koordinim më të është iniciuar rasti nën dyshimin për kryerjen e dy veprave penale ‘kalim i paautorizuar i vendkalimeve kufitare ose i vijës kufitare’ dhe ‘kontrabandë me mallra’. Lidhur me rastin është njoftuar edhe Dogane e Kosovës dhe rasti do të vazhdojë të trajtohet.
